Welcome to 2018’s first review post!
This palette was featured in my January favourites, and I’m pretty sure it’s going to stay a favourite for the rest of the year. I purchased it for half the price on Mecca Cosmetica’s boxing day sale (such a sweet deal!!) and took the palette with me to Japan. You can choose between three blush shades, a subtle highlighter and a bold lip colour. This was the main element to the peachy makeup look that I sported everyday in Japan (every girl wears blush there! hehe).
The shade I used the most was ‘Make Believe’ pictured on the right as a strong pink with a coral tint.
Samples I chose at the online checkout. I’m really hooked on the Too Faced Hangover primer.
‘Golshan’ satin lip pencil. This is a bold red that’s super creamy and easy to apply.
Swatches from left to right: Golshan, Albatross, Sex Appeal, Illusive and Make Believe.
Blending is easy and staying power is amazing. The palette has a big mirror (love!) and feels quite heavy duty. It makes me feel like things will be okay if I accidentally dropped it :p
For those who like to get sciency with the fine details ^
Conclusion: This is a great all round cheek palette for girls on the paler side and packs a lot of product that should last ages. Only downside is that the Sarah Moon collection is limited edition from 2016 and doesn’t seem to be widely available anymore.
