Hello bunnies!
Let’s welcome July because WINTER HAS COME!
I’m definitely feeling it because my fingers are freezing and I can’t feel my feet at night-despite wearing two pairs of socks and having 3 blankets T__T…
Couldn’t think of a title but Momo was the first thing that came to mind so <3
My sister’s awesome cooking skills – far better than my own to be honest :’)
Discovered these gems at a $5 storewide book store in the city.
- I picked up the last copy of ‘365 Days with the Saints: A Year of Wisdom with the Saints‘ so that I could be more familiar with the Saints of my faith. The book has brief bios and quotes for each one every day of the year. Only wish there were more pictures :p
- Jane Austen and Coco Chanel bios by Zena Alkayat and Nina Cosford- instantly fell in love with the artistic style of Nina’s paintings. These are very much like the picture book for adults (kids could probably read this too haha). I enjoy how the books feel and how petite and digestible they are. Still need to get through the Coco Chanel one 🙂
Sweet Japanese coffee machine that appeared at Myer Centre
First time at this Le Bon Choix branch
Burt’s Bees Balms
^3^ dis. cutie
Passion Tree Pancake Stacks
Date night at Chermside for CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR!! It was seriously so exciting and probably the best way we could have used the vouchers. Fab Marvel movie as always, got me on the edge of my seat , wincing, raging etc. all the angsty feels.
that gooey chocolate …. *froths*
Cute as cake pops. These are only one of the many baked goods we produced for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to fundraise for The Cancer Council.
Alan and I were on cookie duty *not pictured except for the cling wrapped ones in the top left above* (p.s. soz for my baking incompetence bro lolol) I had never baked alone before but I learnt to embrace the messiness and fun of mixing everything together. I did try a bit and they were decent for a first go. We were able to raise lots of money to contribute to Cancer Council and I was glad to be a part of the process!
Mama’s CHICKEN RICE. forever a fave.
A close up of bok choy because I <3 bok choy.
Another first! Salsa’s mexican~
A tad late but I have my May favourites up here
Sushi bar at Sono’s on a topsy turvy kind of day.
Finally checked out the massive room inside City Hall for Study Brisbane ceremony. I did wander around this building once before and doors just kept leading to another but never saw what the big blue room looked like inside.
I cannot count the number of times he said ‘Gelatissimo?’ past two months :p
Little lunch with a coworker at Madtongsan
Night out with mum and Alex whilst waiting for my little sister to finish her partying at semi formal ~
Pizza and carbonara at Cucina
Been eating a tonne of Mrs Field’s cookies and coffee during exam period because Momo.
Sushi feast at Kotobuki – I love the interior design of the restaurant, especially the fish…
Love love love Mappen ! If only I didn’t live so far D:
Stopover at Sonder desserts to try out their popular parfaits. I adore everything about this cafe from the suspended potted plants to their super bubbly waitresses and the desserts were the bomb.
Even though I’ve seen this matcha parfait pop up everywhere, I was still surprised because it had a mix of everything. It was crunchy, chewy, jelly, creamy, smooth and all so sweet! I can’t exactly describe it but I seriously dig the ice blended cream in the middle. I NEED TO KNOW ! :O
Screamworld with the girls ^_^ ‘Twas my first time at Dreamworld since 2005. It was freezing out but a fantastic Friday. The Claw has definitely shot up my list of favourite rides because it was the perfect mix of ‘oh my gee, that’s a pretty view’ to feeling yourself plunge down to the ground again and again. I decided to sit out on the Wipeout because I was positive things would not end well for me and the ride actually stopped halfway with three of the girls on board xD
Here we are, at the end of the post and I’ve realised how half this post is just food photos haha :’) Seems I didn’t do many things photo-worthy besides eating . My early completion of exams have left me with around 5 weeks of holidays and 2nd week in , I kind of want to get back to working. I’ve been trying to clean my room bit by bit and I’m yet hustle into the groove of painting again.
You should watch ‘Me Before You’ and ‘Finding Dory’ if you haven’t already<3
Music favourites:
Aside from the pieces mentioned below, my playlist has consisted of generic pop, Sam Tsui and Christina Grimmie since her passing away last month. I came across her ‘With Love’ EP years ago and feel really moved whenever I listen to her songs knowing her strong faith and passion for music.
Disney Piano Collection – I had this on constant replay during exams. Favourite track : ‘Second Star to the Right’ from Peter Pan
Owl City’s Adam Young has been releasing monthly film scores since February with stunning artwork by James R. Eads. Today’s release is ‘Miracle in the Andes’ – give them a listen here: ayoungscores
Wishing you a wonderful start to July 🙂
oohh, I should try your playlist for when I'm studying for my exams too – instead of listening to kpop and wanting to constantly dance instead of study!
Yesss! I seriously recommend the Disney one ^_^ super de-stressing as well~
