It’s been a long time coming but I’ve finally made my first online beauty haul! This was my way of treating myself for my 18th birthday and rewarding myself from exams 8) yippee!
I decided to purchase Korean base makeup products seeing as I’ve been eyeing cushion foundations for a while as well as making additions to my makeup routine that I feel will prove useful on a day to day basis.
It took a while to decide which korean beauty websites I could buy from. At the end of the day, I chose ibuybeauti.com because they offered free shipping over 50 USD and sales on products I needed. I ordered on the first of July, my order was shipped on the third and the package arrived on the 20th of July.
1. Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control SPF50+ (With Refill) in No.13 True Beige
$30 USD
The reason for my haul, for all it’s claims and how much I need this. I admit I haven’t used this yet because prior to the package arriving, I bought Chi Chi’s CC Cream with sponge blender….. couldn’t suppress the need to slap new stuff on my face… There wasn’t much I could do in terms of determining which shade would be best for me. Asides from photos online, I tried swatching different cushions at WCosmetics Brisbane CBD and all of their testers were dry and patchy. Not to mention the price was $50-$60 AUD
2. A’Pieu Cushion Air Fit in No.21
$7.50 USD
Another Cushion foundation I wanted to add to my collection. I hadn’t heard of the brand A’Pieu before and there weren’t many reviews I found online but not much to lose. It would be good to see how this would perform compared to the Laneige cushion. Plus, the packaging is pretty…
3. Tony Moly Bunny Mist (for oily type skin)
$7.88 USD
I’m the kind of person who doesn’t touch up during the day so I added this FREAKIN.ADORABLE. face mist to the cart with an uncertain feeling as to whether I’ll add facial mists to the list of things I can’t live without. Also, due to my boyfriend always doing thiiiiiis , my makeup wears away even quicker. (btw if you click on that link, I was being nice and not linking you the 10 hour version haha)
4. Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact
$9.21 USD
My Tony Moly Cats Wink powder is going to run out soon so I opted for the most popular korean oil control powder. My face gets oily enough to fry KFC in the sun….So I’m told đ
5. Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur
$15.81 USD
From what I’ve read, this is an amazing primer that will give you a smooth selfie-ready face. Although I did start out using silicone primers, I later found it hard to keep the base products from slipping and sliding around my face. I’ve only used this once just to see what the consistency was like so perhaps it’ll be featured in the future ~
Yay for free samples! (two not pictured)
So YES. I’ve been wanting to make this post for a while and thanks for reading. Question…
How many base products do you use? If so, how many do you think you can get through in a year?
Much love,
